Another Great Christmas Disco helps all the more by Tom as DJ. His talents had the floor full from the off playing a mixture of classic oldies and the latest sounds. Even those watching sang along to its “Raining Men” and “Hi Ho Silver Lining”.

Scheduled to start at 19:30 by this time most were already there and soon as coats where hung up the first dancers migrated to the floor. At times you could not move there were so many dancing. Marina made an announcement that there was not glass collector and could we bring our glasses back to the bar, which most did. Marina and Fred had a busy night at the bar and all were having a good time. Marjorie also took the mic and thanked Colin and Linda for preparing all the food for which there was a round of applause.

As you can see from the later photographs the buffet was huge, before the first table came to get there food Pam had reservation there would not be enough, this was dispelled when after all had been up table by table there was still plenty for those wanting seconds. The food was prepared by Colin, Linda, Reg, Ann, John and Val, the new cooker was put to use for the first time making the job easier to prepare the cooked food on site. This cooker is a big six burner domestic with many ovens allowing for different foods to be cooked at different times and temperatures at the same time.

At 22:15 the raffle as drawn with many expensive prizes to be won, the tickets were sold by Jacqui, Pauline and Linda (known to some of us as Kitten68 due to her email address) . The raffle was over quickly and then it was back to the dancing till the end of the night. Tom (DJ) thanks all of the people who had worked so hard to put on a good disco could we stay on and clear the tables and chairs which was done. We always have a good night when Tom is the DJ, he is a real find
