Sixty seven Oddfellows and friends had a lovely afternoon at the Flower of Kent. It was nice to see so many of our new members plus one table from the Good Intent Lodge. The afternoon started with Music provided by Mick and his friends. When all were settled in their seats, trays of Bucks Fizz were served this was followed at four, plates of sandwiches, mince pies and a choice of cakes. Tea and coffee were on free flow though many had brought their own drink and glasses. Then Ticked Pink Productions arrived and quickly set up. Soon the show started, the stars of the show played a lot of Christmas songs to which they sung and danced.
Things seem to be over running and the raffle draw was almost overlooked. Brother Stephen Howden read out the numbers as Sister Jacqui Lowther did the draw. It was nice to see winners from all sides of the room. As the afternoon event drew to a close Brother Howden thanked all for coming and wished them a safe journey home.
The food was prepared by Linda, Reg, Ann, John Colin and Pam. The next event is the New Years Eve Party on Saturday Night into Sunday Morning
