South London Dance at Dartford Football Club 31st October 2009

Members from the South London District were joined by friends from the St. Marys Cray and Dartford District Flower of Kent and the Good Intent Lodges for a lovely evening consisting of a meal served Table Service. Grace was said. Starters of Duck Pate or Melon, main course of Pork, Lamb or Vegetarian Tart, followed by a Truille of Strawberrys or Cheese Board. Then either Tea or Coffee and mints.

Following the meal there was a toast to Her Majesty the Queen, then Oddfellowship. The guest of Honour and Visitors was proposed by Brother Tony Halstead, Trustee of the District. The response was by Brother Peter Needham Past Grand Master who replied and proposed a toast to the Chairman. the Toastmaster was Brother John Mann Past Provisional Grand Master.

Following this the tables were cleared over the dance floor and the disco started. The DJ asked for requests and then played many party dances. Dancing continued till midnight when all we wished a safe journey home. it was such a good night that we all said we will look forward to next years dance
