Halloween Disco at The Flower of Kent on Saturday 29th October 2011

Ninety Oddfellows and Friends enjoyed a lovely evening at the Flower of Kent Halloween Disco. It was nice to see the new members plus three who joined recently and will be initiated next Wednesday. Many dressed for the occasion and this culminated in a competition to judge the best boy and girl costume, the winners getting a bottle of wine.

The Disco started promptly at 19:30 with a medley of records from the 50's and 60's, some did a Jive whilst others just did Disco moves. Around 9 pm the food had been put out onto the horseshoe shaped tables and the table nearest was invited to help themselves to food, in turn as the queues went down the next table went up. There was a good spread provided by LinCol with plenty for all, actually there was enough for some to go up for seconds. The DJ Andy continued to play music but turned the level down.

At 10 pm the raffle was drawn with nine quality prizes. Following this there was more dancing till 11:15 when the DJ played music as he cleared his equipment, at the same time we all cleared the table and put them away. At the end of the evening Pam Magee thanked the DJ and all who had attended especially those who had dressed up. Linda Drakley then thanked the Caterers and the Bar Staff

One last announcement the next Disco would be the
Christmas one on 17th December 2011
