2010 Christmas Extravaganza 2010 at the Flower of Kent

The evening began with pink bubbly and canapes served to all as we arrived, as soon as we had shed our arctic clothing and revealed our glitzy and glamorous outfits. Colin's team had decorated the tables beautifully with huge bowls of water with white roses floating in them and "sparklers" scattered around. Most of us had dressed in 20s fashion with feather boas and trilbys very popular and, after a slow start due to guests arriving late because of the snow, we really got into the swing of things. The DJ played a good mixture of music and soon the floor was full. Then it was time to eat. As usual, the buffet was excellent and we did our best to do it justice despite lack of numbers. The fun continued after the buffet and then we had the raffle. When it was time to go home thanks were given to all those who had helped to make the evening go with a swing, especially Colin and team and several guests helped to put away tables and clear the floor. Then it was time to brave the elements again- thank goodness it hadn't snowed any more while we were inside!
